February 1, 2010

Dear Cousins and Friends,

Saint Piran’s Day is just around the corner and we will once again get together to Celebrate the day of the Patron Saint of Cornwall.  We will meet at the First Presbyterian Church 412 W. Pioneer, Puyallup , WA on March 6th.  In celebration of St. Piran’s Day, we will have a special cake, balloons and daffodils. We are hoping that people will wear yellow and black or your PNCS shirts and sweatshirts. Of course we will also have our excellent pot luck lunch.  We will meet at 11:00 am for the social hour and lunch followed by the business portion around noon . A presentation will start at 1:00pm

I will be forwarding the agenda to all members in advance of the meeting so that we can accomplish a great deal of business and move on to an interesting presentation.

Our presentation will be by Audry Roley from Eatonville , Washington .  The following is what she will present:  The  Whirlwind of Immigration". She says … the 17th century was a time when many groups were looking for a better life, and were willing to risk everything.  There were seven distinct groups that came to America before the Revolutionary War. As a result of their presence in America they created a new nation, and their better qualities became our national character.

Hope to see you all at the meeting.

Your Cornish Cousin and Friend, Alene Reaugh, President
